What You’ll Get to Do:
This will be an important role as the Foreign Liaison Officer (FLO) Support Manager for a major NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office based in Washington, DC providing professional support to officers from a partner navy embedded in the NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office.
You will be the primary representative of the US Government office for the foreign officers chosen by their navy to perform their work in US Government offices in Washington, DC; Marinette, WI; or Mayport, FL
More About this Role:
Your role as Foreign Liaison Officer (FLO) Support Manager will be instrumental to the success of the foreign officers’ participation and cooperation with the NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office
The NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office currently manages a high-profile foreign military sales case with the partner nation for shipbuilding, testing, training, and logistics services
You will arrange office accommodations, provide onboarding guidance, arrange common access card (CAC), and access to various remote data environments necessary for the officers to perform their work
You will assist the foreign officers to assimilate into the US Government program offices; provide instruction on US business practices and American culture
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship is required with Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain such clearance
Batchelor’s Degree or prior Navy experience
5+ years of program management experience working with Foreign Liaison Officers to assist them in an administrative/operational capacity in the United States.
Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) policies/regulations - Defense Institute for Security Assistance Management (DISAM)/Defense Institute of Security Cooperation Studies (DISCS) International Programs Security Requirements course (or equivalent course offered by a commercial vendor which covers the same or similar information).
Working-level proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active DoD Secret
Experience with U.S. Navy PMS Program Office
Proficiency in spoken Modern Standard Arabic to the degree necessary to accurately communicate between American English and Modern Standard Arabic, and be experienced with Saudi culture and customs to the degree necessary to conduct themselves appropriately in business meetings and interactions.
