What you’ll do:
Are you ready to lead U.S. imports with the largest importer in the U.S. at the world’s largest retailer? The Senior Director, U.S. Trade Imports is a critical role charged with developing import strategies, monitoring import compliance and regulations, creating policies and standard operation procedures, benchmarking with industry standards and innovating to find solutions to provide cost savings. You will oversee subject matter experts focused on import compliance and collaborate with cross functional teams to mitigate corporate risk.

Developing business best practices and procedures that will identify and mitigate import risk
Creating strategies on how the largest retailer approaches imports by leveraging technology and data
Exerting your leadership skills and experience in leading a team of import professionals to protect the company from import risk

You’re a subject matter expert in imports for a complex and high volume environment; preferably retail
You have experience navigating complex corporate structures and process to get things done

You are comfortable collaborating with U.S. Customs and other governmental agencies to shape future initiatives
You’re capable of balancing the complexity of a large retailer that includes eComm and M&A components
You are comfortable with technology and how to leverage tools to improve processes

You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders
You have supervisory experience leading medium-sized teams (50)

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 4 years’ supervisory experience. 5 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
