Software Specialist / Pilot Tester

Prestige Healthcare, (an Elite sister company), advises and assists its sister companies (Homecare agencies) on strategic advancement and growth. As such, the Prestige IS department is tasked with evaluating many different tools to see which can improve patient care, patient engagement and quality service.

The role of the Software Specialist / Pilot Tester is to pilot test suggested programs, tools and apps and to report to IS management how effective, user friendly, useful and reliable the tested applications are. The deliverables will be a professionally crafted documents and/or datasheet explaining the pros, cons of the tested tool as well as a recommendation and justification. The Software Specialist / Pilot Tester will also be asked to search for tools or applications to fill specific business needs.

There is NO coding done in house. All applications and tools are purchased or licensed from third party vendors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Tests and pilots programs and apps which may be useful to the homecare industry
  • Implements and maintains software, utilities, tools and scripts to automate or improve user experiences and efficiencies.
  • Can integrate and interface disparate technologies
  • Research and proposes the acquisition of new software and utilities.
  • Ability to maximize utilization of the functionality of in-use technologies
  • IT related responsibilities as assigned by IT Management

Education and Experience

  • College degree preferred, High School Diploma required
  • Technology certifications, in lieu of college degree
  • 3+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on application deployment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including; senior leadership, colleagues, Consumers, patients, caregivers, and Vendors
  • Ability to follow direction, set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of workflow
  • Proficient with productivity suites, and other LOB applications
