Construction Account Manager
The Construction Account Manager is responsible for the full sales lifecycle: planning, goal-setting, researching, contacting, qualifying, consulting, evangelizing, selling and servicing new and existing contractors and consulting engineers and end-user customers. Additional responsibilities of the Construction Account Manager include:
Develop new and existing contractors, consulting engineering firms and end-user customers within assigned territory, leveraging Setpoint Systems marketing activities as well as your own prospecting efforts.
Develop, write and deliver value-based sales proposals to prospective decision makers.
Understand customer business objectives and articulate a next generation approach to leading the customer's transition to fully integrated building automation systems
Develop a level of trust in our industry creating a partner community.
Leverage analytics and business tools to increase your success while providing Setpoint Systems with accurate visibility into your activities.
Leverage productivity tools to uncover potential selling opportunities.
Serve as point person for territory discovery calls and Setpoint Systems introductory overviews within defined new accounts.
Collaborate closely with estimators, engineers and service account managers at Setpoint Systems.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year College or University.
1 - 5 years of previous business-to-business sales in a Hi-Tech environment or relevant experience.
Strong Passion to be successful and drive for results.
Proven ability to sell highly differentiated offerings at appropriate premiums to commodity pricing in the marketplace.
Expertise in navigating complex sales processes to insure effort is being placed into opportunities where there is a great probability of customer success and your success.
Experience/success at opening new accounts - the very best understand that they own a portion of their pipeline development and they take great pride in being able to do so.
Represent Setpoint Systems in a professional and ethical manner to clients, prospects and colleagues.
Proven ability to leverage marketing investments, channel community, and own prospecting efforts to build well qualified pipeline.
Ability to prospect and manage C-level relationships (3-wide,3-deep) within large organizations.
Collaborative skills accessing internal management and other sales team members in the sales cycle and provide ongoing feedback to within Setpoint Systems
Strategic understanding of install base business, model and growth strategy to continually address future needs to increase Setpoint Systems share of the market
Not afraid to challenge customer perspectives or bias towards legacy designs with a consultative approach.
Proficiency with strategic selling and understanding of the importance of business metrics.
