What you will be doing
Under the general supervision of the Reimbursement Supervisor / Manager, is responsible for the timely and accurate payment posting of accounts receivables including but not limited to commercial, PBM, Drug Manufacturer programs and government payers.
Possess strong accurate data entry skills
Knowledgeable in Revenue Cycle Management
Reports any reimbursement trends/delays to Supervisor.
Post all payments, adjustments, zero remits and/or payment corrections in a timely manner.
Print batch reports and balance cash batches posted daily.
Experience in identifying, reconciling and posting forwarding balances received from payers.
Review and reconcile unapplied payments.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Meet and/or exceed daily/weekly/monthly/yearly goals.
Assist with special projects.
Maintains confidentiality in regards to patient account status and the financial affairs of pharmacy.
Communicates effectively to payors and/or claims clearinghouse to request documentation to resolve unapplied amounts.
Assists Supervisor in identifying/ troubleshooting cash posting discrepancies impacting month end reconciliation.
Provide constructive feedback and assistance to team members in order to foster a collaborative work environment.
Provides training and support to inter-departmental associates.
Supports Supervisor by ensuring high standard of performance from staff in order to meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly and yearly goals.
Assists in motivating, supporting and providing direction to team members.
Ability to deal with and maintain control in stressful situations as they arise.
Independently and effectively resolves advanced payment posting issues with minimal supervision.
Works on problems of advanced scope where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined standard operating procedures to determine appropriate action.
Typically receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Assign batches and daily work.
Complete daily reconciliations or assign resources to assist with reconciliation.
Complete weekly / monthly reporting for team.
Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accounting, computer sciences, medical billing and coding, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two year associate’s degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. High school diploma or GED minimally required. Four (4 + years directly related and progressively responsible experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, pharmacy operations, and medical claims.

Global understanding of commercial and government payers preferred.
Advanced ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
Is developing professional expertise; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Exhibits leadership abilities/interests in leading others.
Proven ability to project manage complex projects.
