A growing professional services firm needs a detail-oriented, adaptive, and motivated professional to join our team. This is a new position where the successful candidate will work as part of a small team. The Operations Team Member will be responsible for supporting the establishment and day-to-day operations of a portfolio of small businesses. Responsibilities include supporting general business administration functions such as corporate compliance, finance and accounting, customer service, and general business process improvement initiatives.
U.S. citizenship is required. Successful candidates must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Manage day-to-day business objectives of several small businesses.
Coordinate with tax and compliance specialist to ensure compliance with all applicable international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Audit company records to ensure accuracy of financial and inventory information
Organize and maintain corporate documentation and prepare business filings
Coordinate with purchasing & logistics to support shipping and receiving of goods
Assist with preparing year-end financial statements for multiple small businesses
Provide guidance and recommendations regarding the most effective corporate structure for various business goals
Research and continually monitor domestic and international corporate structures and brief senior leadership on business implications
Identify, recommend, and implement initiatives to continuously improve business operations
Provide quality service to customers, vendors, and business partners
Experience and required performance attributes include:
2 or more years of professional experience
Exhibit positive and professional demeanor and ability to work well with a small team is required
Exercise ability to effectively communicate issues, concerns and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to personnel with varying degrees of knowledge required
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Preferred experience and expertise:
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience establishing and maintaining small businesses preferred (e.g. LLCs, C Corps, Series LLCs, Trusts)
Administrative or clerical experience preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
