The Digital Content Associate will support the efforts of the Content Team within the Communications and Marketing Department at Boston Medical Center. The Content Team strategizes and collaboratively produces content and determines optimal multimedia channel delivery to target audiences. Reporting to the Manager of Social Media, the Digital Content Associate develops and executes content that can be used across BMC’s digital media properties. Content creation includes writing blog and social posts, basic photography, assisting at video shoots, etc.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, flexible, creative communicator who can take on a variety of projects ranging from social media campaigns to article writing. This is an entry level digital communications position with the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills in a growing, fast-paced department and mission-driven organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Craft and schedule engaging content across various social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
Assist with the organization and maintenance of the social media editorial calendar
Cover events and activities around the hospital for use on social media
Work with the videographer/photographer to assist on video/photo shoots as necessary for a variety of internal and external projects
Support the Director of Content Strategy and the Content Team with various assignments as needed
Assist in the creation and development of a BMC content hub/blog/web property
Research, interview and write blog posts
Measure results through effective reporting to continually evaluate the effectiveness of digital media strategies and develop actionable insights to evolve engagement strategies
Assist in social media training for employees
Assist with social media community management
Assist with social media advertising

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field

EXPERIENCE:
1-4 years in communication, social media, digital media

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Experience working with social media on behalf of a brand
Experience creating social media/digital content
Photography experience a plus
Stay focused and detail oriented while multitasking and handling multiple content projects
Stay up-to-date with the newest developments, tools and trends in social and digital media
Blogging experience
Familiarity with digital marketing, online content, SEO
Experience with digital analytics and reporting (Google Analytics)
Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (Sprout, Sprinklr, Hootsuite)
