Job Overview:
As a Loader/Unloader, you will be an essential part of our warehouse operations. You’ll manage the accurate, timely, and safe loading and unloading of goods, utilizing top-tier equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and cranes. Key Responsibilities:
- Expert Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and cranes, ensuring precise and efficient loading/unloading of materials while maintaining strict safety protocols.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare shipments, ensuring orders are dispatched on time and meet our high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, maintain accurate records, and assist with ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Shipping and Receiving: Oversee and assist in the timely shipment and receipt of goods, adhering to safety regulations and protocols at every step.
- Safety Compliance: Commit to a hazard-free workplace by following established safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety among the team.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment, promptly reporting any issues to ensure smooth operations.
- General Warehouse Support: Assist with various warehouse duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Equipment Expertise: Proven ability to safely and efficiently operate pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and cranes.
- Shipping/Receiving Experience: Experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse environment, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Warehouse Management Systems: Familiarity with warehouse management systems to manage orders, inventory, and stock levels.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Distribution Center Experience: Previous experience working in a distribution center or similar warehouse facility is a plus.
- Order Picking Knowledge: Familiarity with order picking procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations.
