Adjunct Professor - Public Relations

Position Qualifications:
Seeking professors to teach in the public relations major of The Division of Mass Communication at St. John’s University. The ideal candidate has professional experience working with the media and writing press materials for print, digital, and broadcast, as well as one year of teaching experience. This position would require teaching Public Relations Writing, Public Relations Campaigns, and Public Relations Strategies in an undergraduate setting. Evening or daytime courses are available.

Candidates should demonstrate a combination of scholarly and industry experience; applicants with experience working in public affairs, non-profit management, fashion & entertainment, and corporate communications are particularly encouraged to submit.

Educational Qualifications:
Preferred: Terminal degree (PhD or MFA) in related field.
Accepted: Master’s degree in communications, English, or business combined with extensive industry experience in and/or other accomplishments in the field.
University‐level teaching experience.
