We are looking for a senior level Cost Accounting Manager who thrives on being a part and influencing a complex manufacturing environment to join our team in Seneca Falls, NY.
In this role responsibilities will include:
Maintenance of standard costs and inventory processes and controls.
Provide support, relative to standard costing and inventory, across all of Seneca Falls Operations (SFO).
Leads the Annual Standard CostUpdate and communicates those results to the appropriate stakeholders.
Responsible for the monitoring of Excess & Obsolete inventory, in accordance with ITT policy, to ensure that reserves are adequate.
Maintains cost accounting & ISO procedures.
Monitors, investigates and resolve monthly Purchase Price and Material Efficiency variances.
Oversees preparation of the annual LIFO calculation and ensures the year-end LIFO reserve is properly stated.
Works closely with Global Supply Chain, Product Management and Sales on development of cost analysis related to make/buy decisions, Bill of Material (BOM) changes, new product business cases, and project order costing.
Responsible for overseeing the processing of Scrap & Salvage.
Fosters a strong internal control environment. Key areas include controls in inventory, purchasing and shop floor related activities.
Responsible for accuracy and adequacy of inventory cycle counts. Actively, works with Operations, to driving process change focused on reducing inventory levels.
Participates in special projects, as required, to support finance, Operation and VBLSS
Responsible for forecasting and budgeting activities related to standard margins, absorption, burden spend as well as related balance sheet accounts such as inventories, E&O and LIFO reserves.
Management and supervision. This includes coaching, mentoring and developing direct report(s) to take on different/new responsibilities.
Oversee transition and cross training of job responsibilities within the group during times of high department turnover.
A key person in driving change, establishing reporting excellence, and providing proactive financial analysis to support the new vertical business structure.
A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.
10 plus years of experience in cost accounting of financial planning and analysis.
A career history demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
Experience working in a manufacturing organization is strongly preferred
Ability to initiate and lead projects/teams, drive actions and provide recommendations for decision making
Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand/interpret complex data and communicate it in a simple way across
