HSN is looking for a Manager of Television Operations to oversee the daily operations and quality output of the HSN studio production department in a live 24/7 environment. In coordination with the Director of Studio Production, this role is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the studio production team and managing and forecasting area budget and expenditures.
A Day in the Life
Responsible for overall management of the Studio Production staff and on-air output within a 24/7 live environment
Oversee schedule assignments of the Studio Production staff
Manage departmental budget including payroll and line items for supply ordering
Write and administer performance evaluations of direct reports & oversee administration of evaluations for all team members within the department
Delegate tasks and projects to staff as needed
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor degree in Television or Mass Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience
7 years of live television experience
3 years of leading and developing team members
Strong technical skills related to television production
Studio space management experience
Strong understanding of various TV production roles
Strong financial, math, analysis skills in order to manage a multi-million-dollar budget
Lifting, pulling or pushing items over 20 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Candidates will be considered in totality of their skills and experience versus strict interpretation of “must haves”.
Nice to Haves
Experience with the SONY 9000 DVS switcher
Experience with Vinten robotic camera operations
Experience with Chyron’s LEX, HyperX and XClyps and Media Player systems
Experience with Calrec digital audio boards
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
Excellent project management and organization skills
Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
