The internal consultant is responsible for the implementation and/or management of strategic projects. This role is instrumental in coordinating efforts to improve the patient experience (i.e. quality, efficiency, access to care) and organizational prosperity (i.e. employee satisfaction, financial performance, business development).
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead high-profile, cross functional, and complex projects that generate significant, quantifiable impact on process improvement, quality control, and patient outcomes.
Develop strong collaborative working relationships with project stakeholders to develop and implement strategies.
Create and sell a vision to project stakeholders, including asserting own ideas and persuasively presenting supporting rationale.
Serve as a liaison to service lines, business units and vendors on operational excellence and best practices.
Be a sought-after resource and role model that helps hospital departments, leadership, and physicians with identifying, planning, and implementing change.
Communicate to all levels of the organization, including clinical and non-clinical staff and executive leadership.
Manage stakeholder expectations, financial resources, and deliver project outcomes.
Understand financial accounting and data analysis methods necessary to establish and monitor business cases.
Possess a self-directed mindset with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks appropriately across multiple projects while navigating competing stakeholder goals and strategies.
Coordinate, design, and facilitate workshops that engage stakeholders in acceleration of change and designing for future state.
Actively seek opportunities for improvement through self-awareness and feedback in technical and personal areas.
Travel to sites within the Nuvance Health System based on project needs (moderate).
Leading and managing cross-functional teams required.
Knowledge of hospital operations and functions that support a health system preferred.
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software and a robust knowledge of data analytics.
Preferred experience; process improvement/project management in a healthcare or clinical setting
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree in business, engineering, nursing or other healthcare field preferred.
Project management and/or process improvement certifications a plus.
