Software Test Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and modified products or product components. Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups and guide and direct junior personnel in test setup and performance. Act as a liaison for outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items, including analyzing and applying testing procedures to parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors. Analyze the development and maintenance of test cases, test approaches, and test plans, including conducting manual functional, regression, and system integration testing, supporting user acceptance testing, and reporting issues found during the testing life cycle. Create test cases, including verifying approved requirements for assigned modules and document results. Recommend changes in procedures, operate with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions, and review progress with management.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience with software testing
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving Agile development environment
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience with automated testing scripts and technologies
  • Experience with testing analytical functions in Cloud-based architectures
  • Knowledge of Agile development
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
