Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. In collaboration with a team of portfolio managers and credit underwriters/credit analysts, focuses on structuring and executing transactions and supporting more senior staff with financial/credit analysis for assigned portfolio and prospect clients. Execute bank loan and market product based transactions including equity and rates derivatives, foreign exchange, and other market products as well as underwriting treasury services risk exposures. Supports lead level relationships interfacing with clients and loan syndicate contacts. May represent the bank in developing and maintaining relationships with smaller/less complex clients. Reviews and interprets credit policies and procedures and incorporates requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations. In support of more senior staff, performs or guides credit underwriting work of more junior staff in accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations. Responsible for developing credit proposals and presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions. May take ownership of and lead follow-up items with a client after a call. Sees items through to resolution to support broader deal team/organization.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: underwriting, credit, relationship management, portfolio management; or completion of internal credit training program
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Credit and portfolio management experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience articulating issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
Ability to partner as a team member resource
Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles: statutory and GAAP
Experience creating complex spreadsheets based on financial models
Strong accounting skills

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
