We are looking for a full-time Front Desk/Medical Assistant to work in our beautiful Kissimmee, FL health center. With patient focused care in mind, My Health Onsite has perfected the work site-health model. Position Summary:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the front desk, including greeting patients, managing patient flow, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and entering/managing data in the EMR. Prepare patients for medical evaluation by physicians and nurse personnel by taking a brief history, establishing vital signs, and recording appropriate documentation. Must be patient focused, demonstrating exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Essential Responsibilities:
Cheerfully greet and check in patients

Obtain and record vital signs (BP, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, waist circumference)

Perform blood draws, administer injections/vaccinations, and input medical information into EMR

Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information

Coordination and tracking release and request for patient medical records

Coordination and tracking of patient referrals to outside imaging and medical providers

Review daily and weekly patient schedules for accurate appointment times and providers

Prepare correspondence between medical providers and patients

Provide information and assistance to patients

Perform general office duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone, scanning and faxing

Identify and escalate priority issues

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Two years of experience, preferably in primary or urgent care setting

Certification: BLS for Healthcare Providers

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Understand CPT and ICD9/ICD10 Codes

Working knowledge of medical terminology

Excellent customer service skills

Strong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients using excellent written and verbal skills

Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member

Preferred:
Certified Medical Assistant

Certified Phlebotomy Technician
