Title: Senior Analyst, Healthcare Analytics and Special Projects

Overview:
The Senior Analyst will work as part of our Care Management team that is responsible for coordinating care for thousands of patients in Southern CA.

Leadership and the team across each region will look to you for key input on operational decisions that will drive performance improvement across quality of patient care, cost efficiencies, and productivity. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to function as a project manager driving programs, processes, and change across the organization.

This high visibility role will get opportunities to function as a liaison between technical teams and senior leadership business teams. A successful, developed candidate in this role should expect future, promotional opportunities within the organization.

Project examples:
Creating the framework and process to analyze the performance (volume and quality) of our core programs and helping to drive associated improvement plans
Reviewing current state analysis of processes and identifying opportunities for improvement and developing data-driven target-state workflows
Partnering with the leadership team to analyze the productivity and critical value-add activities of our 400+ team so we can find better ways to provide great patient care
Developing data visualization models to illustrate data insights and trends
Excel modeling to forecast volume, financial, and staffing impact of Care Management initiatives
Functioning as project manager and helping coordinate activities / deliverables and push change in a fast-paced environment
The Senior Analyst should expect to develop expertise across product design, implementation, and operations, and build a broad network of subject matter expertise both within and outside of the organization.

Responsibilities

Provide analytical guidance and support across Care Management
Developing KPIs and Metrics to monitor processes and mine for opportunities
Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Function as a technical SME providing key insight to leadership that will impact quality of patient care
Build and enhance complex financial, productivity, and staffing models which estimate future performance
Collaborate with teammates to implement operational initiatives and build team rapport
A strong, positive “can do” attitude around problem solving and learning new things
Clearly synthesize insights and recommendations to team, both verbally and via PowerPoint
Must be willing to stretch “up” and “down” in responsibilities
Open to receiving and providing honest, constructive feedback
Requirements / Qualifications

3+ years of total work experience required in analytical role
Bachelor’s Degree with an analytical emphasis preferred (e.g., Business, Engineering, Sciences, Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics)
Core understanding of relational databases (SQL querying) is required
Programming skills nice to have (Python, R, VBA, etc.) but not required
Ability to function as a project manager and comfort with leading meetings with technical and non-technical audiences
High level of proficiency with both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
Refined written and oral communications skills
