It’s about learning and growing
You’re dedicated, and that means your time as much as your effort. This 10-week, 40hr/week internship offers exposure to real-world business. As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Partner with other accomplished and dedicated interns on research and cross-functional projects. You’ll have an opportunity contribute real value and meaning to the larger organization.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29 and 30, webinars, community service, and final presentations. As part of a peer community, you’ll contribute to cross-functional group projects, and should be ready to take on new projects as they come up.

What you can expect in this role
Contribute to the user experience of a product by crafting content to fit product needs (product copy, instructional text, UI labels, error messaging, marketing copy, etc.)
Understand design thinking and user experience design best practices; in particular, understand the difference between copywriting and content design
Help ensure consistent cross-product messaging across all digital channels (web, mobile, TV, wearables, print, voice)
Create copy that works as part of a UX/UI design solution that is engaging and effective to help achieve business goals
Collaborate with product managers, designers and developers to understand - and write content that meets - business and technical requirements
Create and/or adhere to voice/tone/style/brand content guidelines
Accept editorial feedback from stakeholders/peers and be great at incorporating it into your work. (And be able to offer design feedback to UX/UI designer-peers where appropriate.)
Possess a solid command of the English language (grammar, spelling and vocabulary) and strong attention to detail
Be a team-focused, collaborative person who works (and plays) well with others

Spectrum Guide
Spectrum TV App (iOS, Android, Roku, Samsung, Xbox, Apple TV, web)
Spectrum account & support (customer web portal and app)
Spectrum Mobile (web portal and app)
Spectrum Enterprise
Internal apps (TechMobile, Lighthouse, Panorama, Distillery, others)

Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
