Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA - Various Hours Available)

Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) work within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency, provides customer-friendly services to internal and external customers. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst is an energetic and creative professional who has an excellent ability to engage children, assess treatment integrity, and work closely with families and sABA team members. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) provide treatment fidelity reviews to ABA Behavior Technicians providing services within the home, school, and the community. BCBAs will also conduct parent training consistent with Uplift’s approach. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst has specialized instructional and behavioral knowledge and expertise in evidenced based practices related to serving consumers with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities. The BCBA has expertise particularly in the areas of designing intensive and naturalistic instruction to promote successful acquisition of skills and generalize skills across environments. In addition, the BCBA provides support to all team members through trainings, modeling, providing feedback, and supporting data-collection to ensure the integrity and consistency of teaching practices is implemented effectively. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst supports Uplift ABA Behavior Technicians and families by assessing, reassessing, developing, and reviewing treatment protocol to ensure fidelity and providing coaching through programs that ensure consumers:

1) Improve communication skills

2) Decrease problem behaviors and increase prosocial behaviors

3) Improve social skills

4) Maintain treatment goals

5) Generalize skills

Essential Duties

  • Engage in a coaching and learning approach that effectively supports ABA Behavior Technicians, consumers and their families.
  • Collaborate with ABA staff and families to improve communicative, social, and behavioral outcomes for all consumers.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborative with ABA teams, consumers, and parents to identify goals, plan and implement evidenced-based practices in the delivery of assessment, instruction and behavioral principals.
  • Share research, effective instructional practices and emerging trends that can be applied in community and home settings.
  • Participate in program team meetings.
  • Support families through parent education, home support as needed and access to community resources
  • Possess knowledge regarding assessment and instructional design using various assessment measures as appropriate, such as the ESDM, VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and functional assessment to support consumers with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities.
  • Effective communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills for problem-solving, promoting initiatives and conveying expectations
  • Highly experienced in designing intensive and naturalistic teaching practices to promote skills in communication, social interaction and daily functioning within home and in the community

Other Duties

  • Driving to appointments with clients and their families or other key contacts

Education Required

  • Masters in related field required
Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to speak with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to assess individuals with autism and related disabilities and develop a comprehensive program based on the individual’s need
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly write and speech effectively to an audience appropriately
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and objectively write and speak using behavior analytic excellent customer service.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate required
Other Specific Requirements

  • Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance, applicable.
  • Valid California Driver's license with two years experience driving and clean driving record may be required.
