Director of Maintenance and Construction
Location: Studio City, CA 91604 (Not an onsite position)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Work Arrangement: 4 days in office, 1 day remote
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 annually

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
As the Director of Maintenance and Construction, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring every property under our care is maintained to the highest standards. You’ll lead a team of dedicated maintenance professionals, drive strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly impact on the satisfaction of our tenants and the success of our business.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team, ensuring they have the tools and support they need to excel.
- Oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring timely and quality service across our entire portfolio.
- Collaborate with construction supervisors to implement and maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs.
- Drive strategic improvements in operational efficiency, leveraging your deep knowledge of the industry.
- Maintain strong relationships with fee clients, asset managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
You Need These Qualifications
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Construction Management, Communications, or a related field.
- You bring 3-5 years of management experience, including overseeing direct reports, first-line managers, and a large team of in-house maintenance technicians.
- You hold a CA valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- You’re proficient in software tools such as Appfolio, QuickBooks, QB Time, and iScout/KPA.
- You possess exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that inspire and motivate teams.
It Would Be Nice If...
- You have 3+ years of project management experience in the construction industry.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of construction trades and industry trends, enabling you to foresee challenges and craft innovative solutions.
