The Project Manager will work as a part of a project team on large multi-family construction projects and will lead the project with all project administration duties.

Project Responsibilities shall include (but not be limited to):

  • Develop detailed estimates.
  • Identify individual work packages, advertise work packages for bidding, analyze bid results, and make recommendations for contract award.
  • Draft contract documents, administer contracts through the duration of the project, and address changes in the scope of work.
  • Create monthly requisitions for submission to equity partners and banks.
  • Create and maintain project construction schedules, consistently monitor job progress, develop schedule updates, and address progress anomalies through the creation of “work-around" schedules.
  • Assume profit and loss responsibility for the project. Manage the project budget and commitments.
  • Manage Quality Assurance/Quality Control practices, publish project quality expectations, establish benchmarks for periodic quality assessment, address deficiencies if encountered and re-establish expectations, and ensure the project meets company quality standards.
  • Provide management and oversight of the project office and field personnel.
  • Manage all project-related communication, author all official documents for the project record, provide regular periodic reports as required by senior management, engage in regular written correspondence directing project participants towards project goals, and organize regular project meetings as required to meet project needs.
  • Participate in the Project’s Risk Management. Implement and manage the company safety program at the project level; ensure that company insurance requirements are met by entities employed in the performance of the project work; advise senior management of practices, conditions, or entities that present unusual or extraordinary risk to the project or the company; and make recommendations regarding alternative resources or approaches to high-risk conditions, circumstances, or entities.
  • Travel regularly to remote project locations for durations of varying lengths to meet the demands of the projects.
  • Perform other duties necessary to successfully meet the obligation of a Project Manager responsible for a project and/or duties assigned, from time to time, by the President and the Board of Directors of VCON, LLC.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2-4 years minimum experience in construction field.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
