Position Description:
GDLS is looking for an experienced IT professional to manage tactical activities and strategic direction for infrastructure services and IT program management office. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations of IT infrastructure services (servers, storage, network, desktop and services desk), while looking for improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs. The manager will also be responsible for managing the program office by soliciting input from business stakeholders, prioritizing projects, ensuring projects deliver the expected outcome and are delivered on time within budget.

The IT Infrastructure & Operations manager reports directly to the Director of Information Technology and manages 8 employess and approximately 50 outsourced professionals.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide leadership to teams of internal professionals and external service providers that are responsible for consistent operational support, availability of infrastructure and IT project delivery
Prioritize workload of internal and external teams to provide highest level of infrastructure services and IT projects
Manage escalations and make decisions on critical issues related to infrastructure services and IT projects
Provide guidance to technology team for new architecture designs, strategy recommendations and development of future road maps
Collaborate with outsourced program management office to ensure IT projects are delivered on time, on budget, and are delivering the value proposed in the statement of work
Develop and manage IT Projects operating plan through stakeholder input, review and prioritization
Manage infrastructure budgets including confirmation of accurate billing from external providers
Coach, mentor and develop direct reporting employees to reach their fullest professional potential at GDLS

Position Requirements:
Experience:
10 or more years of experience delivering desktop, servers, storage or network environments
5 or more years of experience managing an operations team for desktop, servers, storage or network environments
Knowledge in ITIL processes for incidents, problems and change management
Experience managing projects or managing project managers in delivering IT projects
Experience managing an outside supplier to deliver IT services (preferred but not required
Experience in the defense industry, or highly secure environment (preferred but not required)
