The Sr. Manager, Project Management will be responsible for leading and managing projects within the Commercial Organization as defined by the VP, Commercial Operations and the Sr VP & GM, USA. The projects will vary in scope and duration and at times there may be several projects to lead simultaneously. This position will best suit an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading and facilitating meetings and discussions. They will have strong people skills – be able to influence and persuade – and be collaborative by nature. They must enjoy critical thinking and problem solving. The successful candidate will have a strong business acumen and be interested in how the business works and how the project impacts the business. They will be detail oriented and organized. This person will have leadership qualities and be a role model for how to execute projects successfully, while upholding ConvaTec values and behaviors.
This is a full time position but we would consider a consultant.
Effectively lead and manage small to large scale Commercial Organization projects from initiation through implementation while leveraging best-in-class project management methodologies.
Develops and maintains project charters, detailed project plans, weekly status updates and provides problem resolution.
Proactively identity potential road blocks that may impede success and develop appropriate contingency plans to resolve the challenges
Develops communication management plans, performs stakeholder analysis, identifies risks and take necessary actions including escalation.
Ensures that all project activities are coordinated and supportive of the project scope, time and budget while allocating work and resources in a manner which best achieves project objectives.
Communicates effectively with appropriate colleagues and Leadership regarding status of specific projects.
Influence team members, peers and stakeholders to meet the objectives of the project while bringing high visibility and transparency into the team’s progress.
Effectively deal with evolving and competing objectives.
Work collaboratively across organizations and effectively leverage shared resources.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within project; manage and resolve conflicts within the team
A Bachelor’s degree is required as a minimum and an MBA or advanced degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent education/experience is preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of project management experience with demonstrated success
Experience working in a fast-paced Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotech and/or other FDA regulated industry; experience within Medical Technology Disposables is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of standard Project Management tools (MS Project, Excel, Visio, SharePoint)
Knowledge and application of a disciplined project management process (Six Sigma and Project Management Professional Certifications).
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority, motivate with enthusiasm and develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to influence all levels of the company.
Innate ability to take a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” approach toward achieving business results.
Be a problem solver – proactively able to identify and solve roadblocks and find solutions.
Possess a mastery of project management tools.
