Learn and apply investment recovery practices and approaches with supervision. •Perform all duties with strict adherence to Kinder Morgan’s Corporate Policy. •Demonstrate basic knowledge and ability to run multiple inventory system processes. •Apply standards and processes consistently with supervision. •Recommend new and revised processes and take necessary measures to ensure best practices. •Provide recommendations for changes to ensure compliance with Procurement policies and procedures. •Assist with logistics coordination to transport materials. •Unload, count, mark and reconcile materials. •Organize yard, shelf and pallet inventory. •Stage project materials and prepare materials for shipment (shrink wrapping, banding, boxing, labeling). •Load materials onto truck, covered van or flat bed. •Deliver material to field locations, as needed. •Run errands to assist with facility or inventory management. •Operate forklifts, vehicles and equipment, as required. •Perform daily preventative maintenance on forklift, vehicle, and equipment. •Maintain up-to-date safety certifications as required by company (forklift certification, Smith driving). •Turn off and secure or lock up equipment when not in use. •Clean and maintain work space and operating area. •Facilitate surplus sales and redeployments throughout Kinder Morgan. •Participate in the maintenance and support of the Lawson Item Master. •Coordinate and monitor field-conducted inventory audits. •Act as a liaison between the Business Unit and the Investment Recovery Company. •Work with internal and external customers to achieve annual investment recovery goal. •Participate in industry training and trade shows, as required. •Execute Purchase Agreements and Bills of Sale. •Promote Procurement services throughout the organization. •Ensure completeness and accuracy of orders for project materials delivered to staging warehouse. •Assist buyers and vendors with material order issues with supervision. •Provide timely updates to Project Management on project material status. •Resolve any material discrepancies, shortages or damages. •Ensure product moves seamlessly. •Coordinate loading out of project materials with construction contractors, freight carriers and/or Project Support. •Communicate with cross-functional teams to identify process flow efficiencies and develop standardized procedures. •Operate under all safety, environmental and ethical guidelines. •Other duties as assigned.
Education: •A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience/specific knowledge: •0-3 years of warehouse experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred. This is an entry level position. •Proficiency in Microsoft Applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. Certifications, licenses, registrations: •Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. Competencies, skills and abilities: •Must be self-directed, take initiative, and be an out-of-the-box thinker. •Must be able to perform essential functions of the job. •Must be able to multitask while providing timely and accurate turnaround on tasks, sometimes with strict deadlines. •Take direction from Procurement Management or Senior level peers. •Must be detail-oriented. •Must have strong communication (written and verbal), organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with levels of management and employees in corporate, regional and field offices with tact, courtesy and professionalism. •Work effectively across Business Units. •Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of job performance. •Follow company policies and procedures. •Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public. Physical demands: •Must be able to work at heights up to 80 feet. •Must be able to hear and speak clearly. •Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. •Must meet medical criteria for use of respiratory protective equipment, if required. Working conditions: •Travel may be required across a broad geographic region, as determined by Hiring Manager. •Job level and salary commensurate with experience and skill sets. •May be required to work non-traditional hours. •Must be willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and required. •Must be available to respond to call-out as assigned. •Perform work in dusty environment and all types of temperature/weather conditions. Preferred education, experience, certifications, compentencies, skills and abilities: •Background in oil and gas industry. •Knowledge of Kinder Morgan business as a whole. •Knowledge of materials such as pipe, valves, and fittings. •Experience with Lawson Inventory Control, Requisition and Procurement modules. •Understand engineering standards. •Forklift experience. •Demonstrate an understanding of Kinder Morgan business units and shared service departments.
