You will help meet the objectives and goals of our travel partners through the development of new products, technology solution requests or process improvement initiatives. In this role, you will work with stakeholders ranging from travel agents, external and internal clients, tour operators, and internal executives on a variety of project initiatives to ensure our travel technology is innovative and cutting edge in the industry.
A successful Business Analyst II will:
Be an active participant in all Scrum ceremonies
Serve as the “voice of the customer” for the delivery team, representing/reinforcing the customer’s perspective throughout the product realization cycle
As directed, own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog
Act as subject-member-expert for assigned products
Drive realization of product vision on the Scrum team
Work with Scrum Masters to help direct, motivate, and guide the delivery team
Participate with the Business Analysts, Testing, and Architect to break down projects into detail-level user stories consumable and testable by the scrum team
Review output of BA team to ensure quality deliverables have been created for consumption by the scrum team
Ensure that Scrum Team deliverables meet agreed-upon standards for quality and non-functional requirements, and that the product meets the stated business need
Review output of the scrum team to ensure specified acceptance criteria has been completed
Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of project defects, including providing key input on the decisions to fix or defer
Influence and persuade in order to achieve desired outcomes.
Confidently present concepts and solutions verbally in front of a group.
Offer alternative solutions to project scope.
Work with minimal supervision, to multi-task and prioritize several project initiatives.
Proactively seek and gain knowledge in the BA and Travel industries.
Volunteer to coordinate or help with team and/or companywide activities.
Act as a champion for the team and the company.
Manage large scale efforts by delegating tasks and overseeing multiple projects.
Interpret technical specifications.
Provide consultative guidance to customers and product teams utilizing Trisept applications.
Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university and 5+ years related experience in the BA/Product Owner discipline facilitating a wide variety of projects from inception through completion, and 3+ years related experience in the Travel Industry.
IIBA certification or other BA certification a plus.
1+ year in Agile development environment.
Outstanding technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Expertise using Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent organizational, planning, facilitation, and prioritization skills.
Ability to solve problems under time constraints.
Expertise of the business analysis discipline and application of concepts to projects.
Expertise of software development lifecycle processes.
Expertise in processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Always works within the context of the gated process and software development lifecycle.
Proactively pursues initiatives that enhance the development of Trisept products or create improvements within the process.
