PRIMARY FUNCTION: CFC BCBA assess, develop, and maintain behavior plans for youth in care in group homes, while providing training to Youth Support Specialists (YSS) and respite workers on behavior strategies and trauma informed care. All behavior plans must effectively promote the health, safety, and personal growth of youth. Behavior services must be in compliance with regulations, policies, procedures and standards set by the Agency and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Home visits three to four times per month are required, or more if needed during times of instability or crisis. Behavior analysts attend psychiatric appointments to provide behavioral data and updates. All behavior services are individualized to meet the particular physical, social, and emotional needs of youth served. Plans must include team collaboration and consistent communication. Weekly or biweekly supervision and training provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Administrator or Director.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s of Clinical Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis degree from an accredited school or an equivalent Master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited school preferred.· Minimum of two years of professional work experience in a clinical setting with children/adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, of which includes a minimum of1 year of experience in behavior analysis. Valid Illinois Driver's License Certificate of Proof of Auto Insurance and maintenance of such at minimumamount of coverage required by law Certificate of status as Board Certified Behavior Analyst Possess or acquire within first 30 days of employment, Safety Care Specialist training, approval to supervise students accruing hours towards board certification, updating as required
