Position Summary

General Summary/Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) will work in conjunction with the care team to ensure the optimal patient experience. The PCA will perform both basic clinical and administrative duties. The PCA will assist other office members to keep medical practice running smoothly.

Essential Duties & Functions

Essential Duties & Functions:
§ Prepares patients for examination

§ Performs AIDET with every patient

§ Rooms the patient

§ Takes vital signs; blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, weight, height

§ Enters vital signs into EPIC

§ Administrative duties; greeting patients, scanning, faxing, copying, sorting mail, etc.

§ Preparing the room for the next patient
