PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for supporting quality control efforts for both Consumer and Mortgage Lending. Performs daily and monthly reviews of quality control reports and informs management of results. Reconciles Consumer and Mortgage lending related vendor invoices. Performs equity servicing functions to include subordination requests payoffs and certificates of satisfaction. Serves as back up support to the Lending Title Specialist function. Promotes quality service and teamwork among other employees and ensures appropriate measures are taken that corrections are made to quality control findings.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Control Functions:
Reviews daily and monthly Consumer Lending Quality Control Reports and Exception Reports. Researches documents make appropriate corrections and communicates findings to appropriate lending managers.
Reviews the monthly CUNA premium reports to ensure premiums are calculating/posting correctly accounts are aging out correctly and insurance is not posting on past due accounts. Prepares monthly totals of all the insurance postings for loans and lines for each type of coverage for accounting.
Reviews monthly GAP sales to verify the correct members are charged and for the correct amount. Reviews monthly SWBC report to ensure all members listed have purchased a warranty. Makes corrections to the SWBC report as necessary to ensure accurate billing.
Regularly works with GAP and Warranty vendors. Helps assist vendors with obtaining additional documentation. Processes Gap and Warranty refunds. Performs GAP Administration and maintenance.
Reviews CUDL New Members report monthly to determine which CUDL dealership will be receiving an additional compensation for opening a new membership with VACU.
Reconciles Consumer and Mortgage lending vendor invoices. Ensures that charges are accurate with contracts. Ensures invoices are submitted timely to accounting for payment. Records and tracks vendor costs for budgeting purposes.
Assists with research for Audit requests or findings gathers/prepares requesting documentation.

Equity Servicing:
Ensures VACU receives a recorded Deed of Trust for all booked Home Equity Loans/Lines.
Follows up with the Title Company to check on status of pending recorded Deeds of Trust for Home Equity Loans/Lines.
Reviews monthly Home Equity Loan statement alerts for accuracy following established procedures.
Retrieves completed and signed Home Equity Loan/Line closing packages from Title First and saves to Webx.
Processes Certificate of Satisfaction and VLR forms on all paid off Home Equity Loans/Lines.
Follow up with courthouses if Certificate of Satisfactions are not received within 30 days.
Processes subordination requests on Home Equity Loans/Lines.
Processes payoff quotes on Home Equity Loans/Lines.
Processes rescission of Certificate of Satisfactions as required.

Lending Title Specialist Support:
Provides back up support for the Lending Title Specialist. Tracks the filing of liens and verifies they are properly recorded to secure titled collateral. Releases liens as needed.
Review and work exceptions from the new vehicle loan file and the paid loan file sent to the online title tracking system provider to record our liens and release our liens.
Reviews other daily lien exception reports and makes necessary corrections to insure the credit union lien is filed.
Prepares completed documents and charge requests for DMV processing of VACU lien requests.
Contacts dealers financial institutions and members to obtain and follow up on outstanding titles. Obtains corrected loan documents as necessary.
Escalates lien exceptions to Collections Lending Management or other areas as required.
Assists Collections and Recovery in obtaining titles for repossession.

Other Functions:
Provides quality service to members staff and all third party contacts
Must develop and maintain a working knowledge of all applicable federal and state regulation including corporate policies and procedures. Stay up to date on all required documents systems credit reports and related lending documents.
Comply with all published enterprise level policies and procedures including but not limited to Risk Management policies.
Complete all required ongoing enterprise level training including but not limited to BSA OFAC and Information Security.
Report all Risk Management Policy violations in accordance with policy.
Other duties may be required and assigned by the supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Experience:
Previous experience in a lending environment with understanding of overall lending operations including Consumer Lending preferred.
Credit union or banking industry knowledge preferred.
Mortgage experience preferred.
Previous equity servicing experience preferred.
Knowledge of electronic lien and DMV procedures for Virginia and other states preferred.
Knowledge of lien recordation process for boats and equity lines/loans preferred.
Quality control experience preferred.

Minimum Education:
College degree or equivalent work experience.
