We are a busy 3 doctor practice looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist. Applicants must hold themselves to the highest standard of customer service. Excellent phone and communication skills are a must. We prefer someone with experience in Avimark, however, someone with a strong veterinary hospital reception background may also be considered.
Receptionist duties are as follows, including, but not limited to, welcoming and checking clients in and out, answer incoming calls, check voice mail, schedule appointments, place appointment reminder calls, call owners when medications have been filled by pharmacy and are ready to pick up, send in online pharmacy requests that have been approved by pharmacy tech, lab report callbacks, request records from other clinics, input previous reminders on new patient records, scanning, prepare estimates for procedures, do all drop off paperwork for procedures and surgeries, follow up calls on sick patients, checks and responds to two email accounts, box up and mail specimens to out of state labs, sends referrals to specialists, prepare sympathy cards, monthly rabies report, prepare health certificates, keep lobby area straight, etc.
