For over 50 years - The Glenholme School, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, has provided a comprehensive residential program and services for children with learning differences and special needs. Located in picturesque Washington, CT the Education Director role position will be part of a cohesive, passionate and dynamic leadership team. The selected candidate will foster Devereux’s mission and values of quality care as well as overseeing a top-notch and individualized academic program for our students.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing quality academic services designed to meet the individualized needs of our students.
Ensuring oversight for maintaining the schools various approvals and accreditations, including in-state, out-of-state, and NEASC.
Modeling and providing pedagogical and instructional leadership for a dedicated and experienced teaching faculty.
Exhibiting exceptional managerial skills that fosters, promotes and actualizes servant leadership philosophies and values.
Serving as a liaison and representing the school at IEPS’s, PPT, and CSE meetings.
Participating in the schools leadership team and providing administrative on-call rotation for the residential program.
Qualifications: CT Special Education certification (065 or 165) required and CT Intermediate Administrative certification (092) required.
