Providence is calling SecurityOfficers to rotating/variable shift positions with Providence Health &Services in Portland, Oregon. These are full-time, benefited positions.

In this position, youwill:
Provide security services topatients, visitors, staff, physicians, and volunteers.
Promote a safe and secureenvironment and safeguard Providence Health & Services property.
Respond to emergency situationsrelating to safety and security concerns.
Enforce Providence Health &Services (PH&S), facility and security policies and regulations.Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PH&S staff,visitors, staff, and property.
Respond and assist inrestraining patients.
Detain individuals whennecessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provide protectiveservices to high risk areas.
Be required to support anyProvidence or affiliated organizations within the Oregon Region.

Required qualificationsfor this position include:
Security Officer 1:
High school diploma orequivalent
Valid driver's license withgood driving record
State of Oregon Department ofPublic Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) Private SecurityProfessional Certification or temporary work permit upon start workdate
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) certified or obtained within 90 days of hire
Experience using personalcomputer with Microsoft applications
21 years of age

Security Officer 2:
Associates Degree (orequivalent) plus 3 years of experience in security or lawenforcement -or-
High school diploma orequivalent plus 5 years of experience in security or law enforcementfield

Completion of one of thefollowing:
Completion of civilian policeor reserve academy -or-
Healthcare Security OfficerAdvanced or Supervisor Certification through International Associationfor Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS)
Completion of 5 additional FEMAEmergency Management Institute Courses from Security Services ApprovedCourse List
FEMA ICS 100.HCB; ICS 200.HCA;and 700.A certification
Valid driver’s license withgood driving record
State of Oregon Department ofPublic Safety, Standards, and Training (DPSST) Professional Certificationor temporary work permit upon start of work date
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) certified, or obtained within 90 days of hire
Experience using personalcomputer with Microsoft applications
Must be 21 years of age

Preferred qualificationsfor this position include:
College level course work inprofessionally related fields
Experience in a healthcareindustry
