The Spa at Ascend Fitness and Spa will be opening in July and we are looking for Northern Ohio’s best Makeup Artists for special events, private parties, and wedding parties. We are hiring for independent-contractors, on-call, and part-time team members.
Ascend Fitness and Spa a, 20,000 square foot fitness facility, spa and wellness center combines cutting edge technology, refreshing décor imbued with elements of nature, a sustainability focus, and alternative therapies to create an unrivaled experience unique to the downtown Cleveland market.
Our staff of fitness and wellness professionals are committed to providing you with unprecedented services and amenities to aid you in achieving all your personal fitness and wellness goals. We feature innovative Mind Body programs, expert private trainers, holistic nutritional coaches, top trending progressive group exercise options as well as a full menu of spa services.
Our Cosmologists/Hair Stylist will provide professional and courteous service as well as expertly performed Blow Outs, Hair Treatments and Styling, while the client enjoys views of the city landscape during their visit.
Ascend Team Members received company paid parking. You will be provided by Ascend the needed hair tools and products necessary to perform your job to the highest level.

Requirements
- Current Ohio cosmetology license
- Easy rapport in communications with clients during and following appointments
- Exquisite customer service and deep commitment to ensuring each client’s expectations are met or exceeded
- Passion for beauty and wellness, and motivation to continually evolve and educate yourself
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be computer literate
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Ability to maintain a sanitary, clean, and tidy workstation at all times
- Comfortability in customized post-appointment product recommendations
- Flexibility with work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferences
- Experience working in the cosmetology field, specifically in makeup applications, for a minimum of zero to one years (or equivalent educational experience beyond licensure requirements
Special Requirements
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Experience in sales will be considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Communication and customer service skills
