Position Summary:

As a Network Engineer at the client, you will be part of a global team responsible for architecting, standardizing, and deploying new infrastructure technologies including Software Defined Networking, High-Density Wireless architecture, and Network Security. In this position, the engineer will be working directly with corporate and internal lines of business to support growth through project-based initiatives.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Design and implement Network Infrastructure solutions using Cisco products to support corporate or business initiatives
  • Design, implement, troubleshoot, and document Cisco networks in all global locations
  • Collaborate with your team to align infrastructure standards for architecture and configuration to meet corporate requirements
  • Participate in the planning of new technologies to drive infrastructure that aligns with the strategic roadmap
  • Provide Level 3 WAN/LAN support and participate in an on-call rotation for network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless, and DNS/DHCP platforms to maintain operating performance.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Computer Science/MIS fields or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing network design and deployments in a corporate environment
  • Expert knowledge of routers and switches including Cisco and Juniper
  • Strong skills using monitoring and infrastructure tools such as Cisco Prime, LiveAction or Solarwinds
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, DHCP, SNMP, etc.)
  • Excellent Communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • CCNP Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert skills in designing and deploying high density wireless environments to support upwards of 75% reduction in cabling infrastructure at the desk
  • Experience with WAN Acceleration
  • Experience with SDWAN technologies such as Viptela
  • Experience with Software-defined Access including fabric, SGTs, and ISE
  • Experience with DNA-C leveraging automation and orchestration to push standard configurations and to use plug in play for hardware deployments
  • Programming languages such as Python
  • Strong skills using monitoring and infrastructure tools such as Cisco Prime, LiveAction or Solarwinds.
  • Experience with Cisco Call manager and IP telephony
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • CCIE Routing and Switching
