Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager is directly responsible for increasing the region's sales in accordance with corporate objectives for both sales and profit, developing each sales representative within the assigned region, along with recruiting and training qualified sales representatives. The position covers the Mid-West region which consists of (Texas, Colorado, Ohio, Minnesota, Illnois, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, etc.) Essential responsibilities include:

Establish regional goals on a yearly, quarterly, and monthly basis
Analyze regional sales data and guide pricing policies to meet corporate sales goals for growth in revenue and gross margin.
Help develop and implement sales and marketing strategies.
Recruit, Select and Hire qualified, productive sales professionals.
Assist the National Sales Director with development of ongoing sales training programs to ensure team development and growth.
Written and verbal communication with National Sales Director: Memos, reports, and letters (motivational, follow-up, congratulatory, welcome, milestone, discipline, post field trip, special event cards).
Regional/National Meetings: Help establish meeting objectives, logistics (travel, financial, catering), and planning (correspondence and inviting presenters/guests) Help conduct any meetings with the goal of meeting corporate objectives by coordinating the agenda, timetable and post-meeting follow up.
Work closely with representatives to drive sales efficiency efforts through expense management, territory routing and daily productivity.
Plan monthly itinerary, monitor region paperwork, handle regional responsibilities, and enforce and/or comply with all Company policies.
Conduct field coaching interactions and perform year-end evaluations with each representative in the region.
Attend National and Regional trade show meetings, as agreed upon with the National Sales Director.
Attend management seminars as available and agreed upon with National Sales Director.
Represent the Company professionally and in a manner that consistently sets an example for the sales organization.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required – OR – a minimum of 10 years related experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 5 years related sales experience required.
Must be able to demonstrate supervisor and management skills and abilities.
Ability to identify problems and propose solutions/corrective action to senior leadership
Managerial experience desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with MS Outlook also required.
Physical Requirements: 20/30 corrected vision. Prolonged sitting and standing.Extensive Travel (40% +)
