SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

WHAT OUR SENIOR ACCOUNTANT WILL DO (Among Other Things)
- Positively represent the FGM brand at all times, whether working with vendors, internal contacts, coworkers, and/or leadership team
- Go above and beyond, offering solution based and helpful dialogue
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention
- Meet financial deadlines by prioritizing and systematically organizing scope of work
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Record adjusting journal entries as needed
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Participate in the annual financial audit process
- Internal and ad hoc reporting
- Oversight of sales/use tax reporting/compliance
- Assist in month-end close process
- Identify and assess business and departmental needs to achieve satisfaction
- Validate and approve payroll for department
- Support immediate and extended teams, while adding value and heightened contribution

- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years’ experience in Accounting
- CPA or CPA eligible a plus but not required
- Public accounting experience a plus but not required
- Accounting experience in construction or manufacturing preferred
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Pro-active self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
