Manage the Parts and Valves staging racks daily
Work with the Packers for getting orders packed on time
Assemble wood shipping crates using hand and air tools and bolt machinery to wood pallets
Keep warehouse and work area clean and organized
Operates warehouse equipment to complete tasks adhering to company safety practices
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; have hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to confirm serial numbers and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Clearly understand and follows ALL Emerson Safety Policies including but not limited to proper PPE, proper lifting techniques, and local site safety requirements.
Safely operate a sit down and stand up forklift to load and unload trucks and gather stock from the warehouse.
Required to accurately select pallets from the warehouse and load them onto route trucks, flat beds, dry vans, etc.
Experience with matching BOL’s and invoices to material being shipped.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse by disposing of trash daily, sweeping floors daily and using floor scrubber periodically.
Be very detailed oriented and ensure correct material is selected, processed and shipped.
HighSchool Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent education.
Musthave 2 years of related experience which includes forklift operation.
Punctualwith strong work ethic and able to work with little or no supervision.
Appliesattention to detail and task accuracy.
Physical tasks include walking, grasping, carrying, lifting, seeing, hand-eye coordination, listening, writing, and speaking.
Mental tasks include reading, interpreting, calculating, measuring and communicating.
Ability to successfully complete various in-house and customer safety training programs.
Must be able to observe and abide by all safety rules and regulations
Must be computer literate and able to perform simple computer transactions.
Must know how use electric drills, foot stapler, bander and everyday hand tools.
Able to work extended hours and Saturday with short notice when required.
Experience with SAP is highly preferred. UPS, FEDEX shipping experience is also a plus.
