Job Summary
The primary function of the Boring Mill Machinist is the programming, setup, operation, and running of production and custom parts on boring mill machines by either writing programs or using existing CNC programs and paperwork according to the production schedule to meet customer requirements. This position is at Warnke's north location in Saginaw, MI.
Responsibilities
- Operate milling machines and other equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in manufacturing processes.
- Perform setup, calibration, and adjustments on machinery as needed.
- Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools, lathe, press brake machine, and other machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mill Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery including lathes and press brake machines.
- Familiarity with CAD software for reading technical drawings is highly desirable.
- Understanding of GD&T principles is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 56 per week
