Sr. Financial Analyst

This Senior Financial Analysis position will work directly with the Product Management organization performing forecasting, budgeting, and analysis with general oversight from finance management. Position involves budget management, decision support, business analysis, and special projects. The position will be responsible for setting and leading financial targets along with providing analysis and justification with the goal of corporate optimization. Outside of the regular reporting cycle, the Sr. Financial Analyst will respond to ad hoc projects and research in support of the CFO, SVP, and corporate finance group.

The diversity of our Product Management organization includes support for F5 leadership in ADC and Security, both domestically and internationally. This position will work directly with Product Management leadership and other F5 Management in developing strategies and targets for their respective departments. This role will involve customer service and financial analytics to help the teams in achieving company strategic goals, project plans, and deliverables and core support of the enterprise.

This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and validated skills in project management. This role has regular interaction with various business leaders and teams across F5 Networks and requires strong people skills.

What You'll Do
You will Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning
Perform technical analysis to regulate present and future financial performance
You will Bring together, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for operating forecasts
Monitor the financial targets and operating metrics for assigned business organizations
Distribute and socialize financial plans and results to appropriate business partners
You will Support general managers on annual budgeting process including return on investment and multi-year investment thesis
Provide ad hoc reporting and support to assigned business organizations and Finance leadership as required
You will Provide training and assistance to other junior Finance staff members as needed
You are responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies

Job Requirements:
Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail
Ability to succinctly synthesize findings; excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance
Real passion for analyzing data to drive decision-making
Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Requires a minimum of 8 + years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree
Work experience with a technology company a plus
