About the Role

As a Product Designer at Lyra Health, you’ll have a meaningful impact building products to help people suffering from conditions such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. You’ll partner closely with product managers, developers, marketers, data scientists, and therapists to design solutions for patients and the providers who care for them. You’ll create modern, innovative, and user-centered designs and experiences for a variety of platforms and devices.

You work quickly and you have a keen eye for detail. You’re a self-starter and can be effective without needing significant day-to-day oversight. You love being able to flex your design muscles in a variety of ways - from interaction design to visual design to user research to prototyping and everything in between. You can see a project through from initial concept to launch, including delivering pixel-perfect finishes. You are passionate about diving deep into the world of behavioral health care to turn complex, sensitive topics into thoughtful concepts and clear content which empowers people to get effective care.

As a Product Designer you will:

  • Create and iterate on conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes based on a variety of inputs: user feedback and research, internal stakeholder priorities, product and business metrics, marketing and product strategy, product requirements, and your own observations and intuition
  • Design compelling new user experiences and improve existing flows
  • Deliver production-ready / engineering-ready assets and/or clean, handoff ready prototypes
  • Collaborate and iterate with engineers and product managers to translate product requirements and user stories into reality
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to conduct user research and usability testing
  • Ensure that product designs reflect brand guidelines and established visual style
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
  • Evangelize strategy, vision, and future iterations of the product throughout the company
  • Present design work to executives and stakeholders for review and feedback

Skills and Experience:

  • 2-5 years designing user friendly experiences for web and mobile
  • 2+ years working “in house,” owning the evolution of a product experience
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to generate ideas, tackle complex problems, and create elegant solutions with an eye for detail
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Fluency in Sketch, Adobe, and prototyping tools like InVision, Principle, or Framer
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Nice to Have:

  • Designed experiences for healthcare or behavior change
  • Experience working at a startup
  • Conceptual understanding of popular front-end frameworks like Angular and React
  • Experience managing design systems and pattern libraries
