The Receptionist is the first point of contact for Jhpiego and as such present the first impression of the organization to visitors and clients. This position will provide customer service, security and administrative support required to insure that Jhpiego’s reception area is functioning properly.

Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone
Answer, screen and direct telephone inquiries and take messages as appropriate
Direct all visitors including vendors, clients and employment candidates to their destinations by maintaining an employee directory
Notify staff of their visitors arrival
Direct caterers to the appropriate destination and notify office contact of their arrival
Facilitate lobby security procedures by monitoring visitor access and logbook and issuing visitor badges
Maintain a safe and clean reception area and conference room
Provide general administrative support for Facilities Management Unit

Required Qualifications
High school diploma/2+ years college preferable
2+ years high volume professional administrative experience
Energetic and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
Experience working in an international multicultural environment, preferably in a professional office setting performing similar duties
Good/excellent typing 30 wpm and document management skills
Experience using a multi-line phone
Experience working in fast-paced dynamic environment
Interest in international development and healthcare issues
Highly dependable
Ability to recognize sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel
