Put your years of experience and technical expertise into a future of excellence as a valued team member of the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Airborne C4ISR Systems team. The qualified applicant will join the Quality and Mission Excellence team at our Baltimore, MD facility supporting factory test equipment quality operations. We are looking for a high-caliber individual with a strong background in Mission/Quality Assurance along with Electrical, Digital, or RF hardware test or Test Engineering test set design experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluations and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess costs and responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Oversees test equipment design, manufacture and certification for programs and capital projects to include: equipment and software certification and design and process documentation.
Participates in design reviews, certification readiness reviews, supplier assessments/source inspections, test set demonstrations and equipment certification, and development of proposals and quotes.
Performs Program Quality functions including, but not limited to developing: Program Quality Plans, Quality Assurance Directives, Quality Assurance Framework.
Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field
9+ years of experience in the design, manufacture, test, inspection, qualification, delivery, and field support of hardware which meets contractual requirements (7+ years with a Masters, 4+ years with PhD)
Active Secret Clearance
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
Fluent with Microsoft Office products
Master's degree in a STEM discipline
5+ years of Quality Assurance Engineering experience
Experience evaluating the design and operating/certifying electrical, digital or RF test equipment
Experience evaluating software design and development processes to confirm design intent using software tools such as Clearcase, ClearQuest, Lab Windows CVI
Basis of Estimate (BOE) creation
Experience evaluating Requests for Proposal Information
International program experience including hands on customer training and in-country installation and demonstration
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
Familiarity/working knowledge of SAP
MRB authority or MRB board experience
