Summary
The USPS OIG is seeking a highly qualified applicant to fill our Auditor position in the Supply Management and Facilities directorate located in Dallas, TX. The Supply Management and Facilities Directorate conducts performance audits relative to Postal Service Supply Management and Facilities activities. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and demonstrate experience and skill in auditing or managing contracts, major acquisitions, supply chain management or real estate programs.

Performs assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines in the area of auditing or audit evaluation
Participates as a team member and/or leads an audit team
Evaluates agency programs and operations for compliance and adherence to regulations and adequacy of internal controls over operations
Makes recommendations for corrective actions and writes audit working papers and reports utilizing generally accepted accounting and auditing principles
Travel Required

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

You must meet ALL of the minimum qualifications listed below.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or any other degree that includes 24 semester hours in accounting
At least one (1) year of experience conducting program and performance audits. Postal Service specialized experience in supply management or contracting can be substituted for one year of audit experience.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree
Experience with conducting contract, contract fraud, or supply management audits.
Professional certification(s), i.e.: CPA, CIA, FSCM, CPIM, CFCM, CPCM, etc.
Experience in TeamMate
Education

Additional information
This position is being advertised at the Journey Band level - Non Exempt, equivalent to a GS-07. The base salary range for this position is $35,854 - $46,609.

This position is also being advertised at the Journey Band level - Exempt, equivalent to a GS-09 through GS-12. The salary range for this position is $43,857 - $82,680. The salary figures does not include locality pay. Career ladder to GS-13 equivalent is at management's discretion.

The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.
