POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Associate, Sponsorship Strategies & Activations should have relevant experience working on sponsorship and lifestyle marketing strategy and activation. Some level of experience in motorsports is a benefit, as is agency experience. He/she will be self-motivated and inspired, with a creative aptitude and exceptional organizational skills. He/she will have the professional and social etiquette essential for interacting with clients, and collaborating cross-functionally with teammates to execute best in class branded programs. In a fast paced environment, he/she will approach unexpected challenges quickly, creatively and strategically without missing a beat.

Responsibilities
  • Social media lead for agency client including implementation of social strategy, development of content calendar and content series’ that achieve client objectives
  • Content project manager (includes ideation, development, client sell-in, budget management, etc.) for events, and non-race specific time periods
  • Assist in the relationship with media partners as needed to fulfill event-related broadcast elements
  • Support of specific client partnerships
  • Work with team to develop marketing and PR campaign recommendations (Social, Digital and traditional), including idea development/presentation, and planning/managing execution of agreed upon plan
  • Fully understand project budgets and effectively manage costs within scope adhering to internal guidelines
  • Interface with Properties, Talent, Other Agencies and others as needed to help build and maintain best in class marketing partnerships that achieve client objectives
  • Contribute to partnership portfolio analysis, identifying relevant opportunities that support strategic recommendations for the clients
  • Ability to create client-ready documents that include insights and research with little oversight from others; this includes sourcing information from a variety of entities (e.g., teammates, market studies, journals)
  • Support efforts to identify opportunities for business growth
  • Frequent travel is required including weekends and occasional holidays

Qualifications
  • Has a bachelor degree (minimum) and 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong client management capability with the ability to provide quick input, recommendations and demonstrate critical thinking
  • Able to interface with colleagues, senior executives, talent and clients effectively and personably recognizing the need to adjust communication style accordingly to the audience (i.e. situational awareness)
  • An innate knowledge of social media with the ability to make recommendations, be creative, answer questions immediately, provide performance analysis and understand social media channels for optimal content performance
  • Develop and project-manage campaigns, apply paid and recap with analytics
  • Proven success in using partnerships and social media to promote brands (within the landscape of sports is a plus)
  • Has proven ability to effectively share/present ideas and concepts in a team environment and demonstrates openness to giving/accepting thoughtful constructive feedback
  • Transitions smoothly from task to task from one fast-paced environment to another
  • Maintains composure under pressure
  • Has proven ability to be strategic, creative and solution oriented
