The Business Modeling Team sits within Chase Consumer and Community Banking, the retail arm of JPMorgan Chase. Our quantitative work supports colleagues in Finance, Operations, and Marketing as they serve customers in a wide array of financial services such as consumer and small business banking, home lending, and credit card.
We are a diverse and growing team of economists, statisticians, and other analytics professionals, focused on econometric modeling within JPMorgan Chase. We are searching for talented data scientist to join us in solving strategic problems through innovation and collaboration.
As a Quantitative Model Developer at JPMorgan Chase, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of unique projects, such as:
Building econometric models to forecast deposits, fee revenue, and other business drivers
Predicting how households and businesses respond to changing interest rates and economic conditions
Building spatial models to optimize the coverage of Chase’s branch network
Developing machine learning approaches to predict customer behavior
Your responsibilities will include:
Working with large and complex datasets to solve challenging, business-critical problems
Researching and developing forecasting methods, optimization techniques, and predictive models to support and improve stress testing analysis, branch performance, and strategic initiatives throughout Chase
Communicating quantitative concepts and results to a range of (technical and non-technical) audiences across the business, including senior leaders
Collaborating with team members to improve and automate processes
Deep quantitative/programming background with a graduate degree (M.S., Ph.D.) in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Economics,
3+ years of related experience preferred
Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
Ability to write code and develop production-ready analytical applications
Significant experience working with very large scale (structured and unstructured) data
Expertise in at least one of the following: Python, R
Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and business recommendations. Highly motivated, productive, and teamwork oriented.
Good project management skills (clear goal setting, well-organized, detailed planning, and ability for tight-timeline deliverables).
Able to translate ambiguous business problems into a conceptual mathematical framework
Passionate about continuous learning and professional development
