THE ROLE
The Press Operator prepares, operates, and maintains our sheetfed presses as efficiently as possible. Were looking for someone who is mechanically inclined with strong knowledge of print production and a familiarity working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Run the Kimori printing press.
-
Interact with the press schedule and ticket accordingly.
-
Interact with pressroom clients in a professional manner.
-
Follow pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time & material, load tags, FSC stock, and samples.

Perform needed maintenance on the presses.

Maintain presses and pressroom in a clean and professional manner.

Use and maintain the Image Control unit.

Communicate with various functional groups while translating project strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
3+ years of experience in print production or similar role requiring mechanical skills.

Knowledge of printing presses.

Demonstrated ability to have reliable and predictable attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged standing for up to eight hours.

Frequent walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
