JOB TITLE: HR Credentialing/Training & Development Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Administration

SALARY RANGE: $35,000-$45,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing, verification and privileging processes for all medical providers and clinical staff to include primary, dental and behavioral health.

The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for the portfolio of training programs and courses. The specialist implements new training programs, adjusts the current ones in a close cooperation with the HR Director and the Leadership Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Credentialing Specialist

  • Maintain up-to-date data for all providers and clinical staff in the HRIS system to ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications.
  • Processes and verifies that credentialing information in accordance with HRSA requirements.
  • Collects and analyzes credentialing data to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Conducts follow-ups.
  • Assures verification of providers and clinical staff information by using various web sites per HRSA requirements for FQHC facilities.
  • Upon completion of the verification, ensures up-to-date hard copy and file integrity.
  • Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certification, malpractice coverage and all other required documents per HRSA guidelines.
  • Coordinates and makes all credentialing documentations available for the Credentialing/Billing Specialist for CAQH purposes.
  • Maintains confidentiality of providers, clinical staff and organizational information.
  • Prepares credentialing package per checklist to be presented to the Board of Directors’ Personnel Committee for review, approval and submission to the Board of Directors.

Training and Development

  • Identifies training needs and training gaps in the organization in a close cooperation with management to address specific training and development.
  • Optimizes the training portfolio as specialized targeted courses are offered to the managers and employees
  • Prepares training manuals and training offers for employees and managers
  • Plans training courses and sessions.
  • Managers the portfolio of contracts with external vendors and introduces changes to the Standard Terms and Conditions
  • Cooperates with the external training vendors and delivers tailored training programs and courses.
  • Oversees the quality of delivered training sessions by external vendors
  • Builds the internal network of internal trainers and organizes the regular Train the Trainer sessions
  • Monitors the best practice in the training area and introduces it in the organization
  • Evaluates the quality of training courses and implements improvements
  • Cooperates with the Leadership Team to design programs for high potentials and future leaders.
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field. Equivalent education, work experience, knowledge and skills may qualify. Minimum 3+ years credentialing, training and development, and/or human resource experience. Experience with HRIS. HR destination preferred (SHRM, PHR, HRCI)
