Candela Medical has operations in twelve (12) other countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Products are sold in 90 countries worldwide and are supported by field service, clinical education, marketing development organizations and distributorship arrangements.

In July 2017, Candela Medical was acquired for approximately $400M by Apax Partners. As a result of the transaction, Candela Medical is now a privately held company. Apax and the new management team have built their strategic plan around investing in marketing and product development to drive growth, and in operations to improve quality, expand margins, and enhance product and service offerings.

Summary:
Candela Medical is seeking a hands-on, highly analytical and driven candidate to support the Global Sales Operations and Analytics team, and the global service team in building and executing Candela Medical’s strategy and broader corporate initiatives. This vital role will be responsible for helping the company address important challenges impacting our business through deep data mining, statistical analysis, and identification of trends that will demonstrate ROI for Candela Medical. In addition, the Sr. Analyst will play a key role in the implementation of company-wide strategic imperatives, including initiatives geared towards service excellence. The business or strategic focus and stakeholder served will vary greatly, ranging from broad coordination efforts across multiple regions and/or functional areas to focused special assignments for senior management that are of high strategic importance to the organization. As a member of Global Sales Operations and Analytics team, the Sr. Analyst will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the organization, using data to solve important business problems and translating company goals into tactical operations.

We are looking for someone who can apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to complicated and often ambiguous business problems, navigate raw data to find the real performance drivers and explain complex problems in an understandable way. The Sr. Analyst must be able to think both strategically and tactically, devise and execute a plan that breaks problems down into manageable action items and identify actionable insights through deep analysis and review of operations, trends, process, and strategy. The insights delivered will identify correlation/causation that will enable leadership to drive growth and efficiency improvements throughout the business in efforts to deliver improved operational, financial, strategic, and customer success outcomes. The successful candidate will have extensive experience using data and analytics in supporting decision making for finance, sales, marketing, operations, and product. The Sr. Analyst will work as a part of the analytics team and should be able function in more than one area of data warehouse, business intelligence and data science.

The Senior Analyst will report to the Vice President, Global Sales Operations & Business Analytics, and will be based at Candela Medical's offices in Wayland, Massachusetts.

General Responsibilities:
Participate in the design, planning, prioritization and execution of a broad range of analytics designed to support data-driven decision-making for the global service organization

Design, build and monitor company-wide operational KPI dashboards and make periodical adjustments to meet the needs of changes in business process, with a focus on Service business process.

Coordinate with various functional areas to translate business requirements into actionable, systems-oriented solutions

Proactively monitor service performance and execution and recommend solutions and course correction tactics.

Create insightful Power BI reports and presentations that clearly and succinctly highlight performance and actionable insights

Participate on cross-functional and cross-regional project teams designed to analyze opportunities, synthesize findings, develop action plans, gain consensus and translate recommendations into results

Continuously monitor data quality, trending and meaning of data, asking deep dive questions and pursuing answers that may not be readily apparent

Knowledge/Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

5+ years of analytical experience; life sciences industry experience preferred.

Strong Experience in Microsoft BI stack and other BI tools (e.g. PowerBI, HDInsight, SSAS, Streaming Analytics, SharePoint etc.)

Expert level SQL hands-on experience including performance consideration skills, effective and efficient debug skills and good test implementation skill.

Strong visual design experience in creating information, easy to understand reports and dashboards (Extensive experience in one or more of the visual tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Spotfire)

Knowledge of modern data warehouse design and trend

Experience using Salesforce.com, Service Max or another CRM platform.

Understanding of a profit and loss statement, general corporate finance, and how operational metrics translate into financial performance

Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Experience developing and maintaining reporting tools and databases

Must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be flexible in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
