Job Description:
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for revenue growth through direct sales activities to both health plans, brokers and large self-funded employers. The position will have a defined geographic territory with prospect counts for health plans, brokers and large self-funded employers. New business revenue and pipeline goals for each region are established based on the potential within each region and will be adjusted as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate leads to obtain a targeted sales objective
Develop an active prospect pipeline through targeted direct prospects, regional and nationally based consulting firms, professional associations and determine the value-added marketing events (e.g. trade shows, conferences, summits) within assigned territory that will yield net-new prospects and generate increased revenue
Prepare a territory plan to address specific approach to developing pipeline and meeting revenue expectations
Build excellent business and personal relationships in a way that creates sales and business development opportunities
Support related selling efforts and company-wide initiatives
Manage leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities along with timely documentation showing an accurate funnel and report weekly to update the pipeline
Identify all formal bids and proposals in initial stages in order to drive higher probability in won opportunities and support proposal team in completing successful proposal to all prospective clients
Lead complex sales negotiations from initiation through to complete agreements
Provide a smooth transition for the client over to our account management and implementation team
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience:REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in health administration, business or related field; proven industry experience will be acceptable in lieu of degree
A minimum of 10 – 15 years of related sales experience with 5 years in a strategic sale role
A high energy, positive, highly motivated self-starter with a personal commitment to health improvement
Demonstrated history of top revenue producing results; should have a track record of routinely producing revenue results of a minimum $2.0M per year
An extensive contact list of prospects, and consultants within the health management industry
Strong data analysis and presentation skills
Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues
An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation, and detail oriented perspective
A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
Ability to work with peers in a team effort
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
A well-organized and self-directed individual who can work remotely with minimal amount of supervision and produce above average results
Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands
Willingness to travel a minimum of 50% of their time

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Includes both a typical home-based office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and frequent local and/or overnight travel, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Mode of transportation for travel typically will include automobile and plane.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
