Description

SAIC is seeking a SIGINT/GEOINT Systems RDT&E Engineer responsible for performing end-to-end evaluations, ensuring SIGINT systems support the nation's changing requirements. This position will support the RUSHMORE UES contract and be based out of Chantilly, VA.

Position duties can vary depending on the system-desired results but can include: requirements, architecture and interfaces, RDT&E planning, and support to pre-operational system execution tasks.

In this role, you will perform technical planning, collection management, integration, verification and assessment, cost and risk evaluations, legal authority and SIGINT compliance assurance, supportability and effectiveness analysis for end to end systems. You will also act as Technical Advisor to the Government Chief and Deputy. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Working with internal and external customers to understand the RDT&E requirements, which includes the facilitation of a weekly Test Support Request Board
  • Knowing the SIGINT/GEOINT systems including capabilities and limitations
  • Understanding the planning and technical goals of Path Finder systems
  • Reviewing RDT&E level test scenarios and test reports to provide oversight into future inclusions or modifications to CONOPs to be used by the customer
  • Tracking all past/current/future Test Support Requests (TSR) and maintaining status of TSRs via databases, charts, and web pages
  • Identifying issues and providing mitigating options to the Chief of the Operational Performance Evaluation Division (OPED)
  • Briefing senior government leadership and customers
  • Working collaboratively in a multi-contractor, and government environment providing technical and operational insight
  • Leadership experience and advisory experience is a must
  • Self-starter, proactive in responding to customer needs
Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
BS in engineering, physics or related technical degree
10 years experience in space/ground aerospace systems engineering
14+ years professional experience
Experience with Planning and execution processes and functions in support of space and ground architectures
Experience understanding user and enterprise needs/requirements and gap identification, analysis and assessment
