Apex Industrial Battery is hiring immediately for a Driver position! Competitive pay and home every night. This position provides on-the-job training where we'll teach you everything you need to know to be successful.
This job would be suitable for persons looking for jobs in a warehouse setting and/or as a driver.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive truck to destination, applying skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Loads, unloads, and secures freight with a forklift / pallet jack in a manner to prevent injury, damage or shifting while maximizing space
- Inspect and counts freight, notating proper overages, shortages and /or damages
- Follows safe work practices
- May perform other duties as necessary / subject to change as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Class B CDL Preferred - Not Required
- Must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical with at least a 12-month medical card
- Hard working/self-motivated
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (schedule changes, traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Customer service experience helpful
