Summary

Located in Derby and in Lyndonville, VT, NEKCA Head Start has two (2) full time Administrative Assistant / Data Specialist positions starting in September 2018 and will end in June 2019. These positions are funded by the Preschool Development Expansion Grant for 40 weeks (2018-2019).

The Administrative Assistant / Data Specialist works in partnership with the CFDP Director, Associate Director, Administrative Services Manager, Content Area Managers and Center Manager to assure provision of quality services to enrolled families who qualify under the Preschool Development Expansion Grant (PDEG).

The Administrative Assistant/Data Specialist will assist the Teachers and Center Manager on administrative duties and data collection to benefit children who qualify for PDEG.

Duties

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Word processing, copying, filing, shredding, laminating, etc. as requested by the Center Manager and/or teachers.

Monitor and ensure all PDEG student records and files are up to date and meet timelines.

Input data in PROMIS/myheadstart.com

Assist Center Manager with oversight of PDEG budget.

Create and maintain database to track PDEG parent group activities, travel reimbursement, etc.

Assist in child recruitment activities to maintain full enrollment.

Participate in trainings and meetings when applicable.

Work in cooperation with all staff in meeting program deadlines.

Ensure that all confidential information is treated as such.

Provide classroom coverage as needed. Provide classroom breaks to teachers.

All other duties consistent with the position as assigned by supervisor and/or HS Director.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements Include:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required

Experience in office work required

Experience and skill working with computers A MUST

Skills in word processing, data entry, filing and general office work

Work effectively as a team member

Commitment to be actively involved in a process of professional development

Effective written and oral communication skills

Maintain confidentiality
